KIDZ is a family support group that provides opportunities for individual and group support, recreation, advocacy, and education to families who have a child diagnosed with diabetes. We serve families in the tri-cities area of Nebraska, as well as parts of Nebraska and North-Central Kansas not served by a support group.
When your child is diagnosed with diabetes, there can be a lot to learn. Sometimes it can be overwhelming. How can we keep blood glucose levels consistent? How do we test for ketones? Has anyone else experienced this? Are certain foods limited? What is the latest technology?
Sometimes it just helps to talk with someone who understands.
KIDZ provides:

We have a HUGE event coming up soon! Our group will have a diabetes awareness day March 20, 2010 at the Viaero event center in Kearney with lots of diabetes education as well as FUN planned!
